It is simply amazing to me how much work really goes into mission trips. The planning, phone tag, more planning, did I mention prayer, more planning, scheduling, itineraries, more prayer, difinately prayer! "Prayer is the engine that drives the hand of God." Even as Priscilla and I prepare to possibly go out to Uganda as long term missionaries I am stunned at how "tied" to our stuff we are. The house, cars, all the house hold goods. I thought I was free?!??!? The more I see this plan develop the more stuff I find that has to be dealt with provided for or sold. It is mind boggling!! Don't get me wrong I am by no means a minimalist, it is the Lord who has blessed us with the house and the cars and the stuff, but how easy it is to be deceived into believing that I must provide a safe place for all the "stuff." WOW!!!! The planning is going well; I believe we have narrowed down an itinerary and are excited to see how the Lord works it all out.
